On Wednesday, areas generally south of U.S. Highway 36 and west of U.S. Highway 83 see the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms with large hail and strong winds being the possible risks during the late afternoon and evening hours. Thunderstorms are also possible during the afternoon and overnight hours on Thursday through Sunday. At this time, the primary hazard will be cloud to ground lightning. Elevated to Near Critical fire weather conditions are possible Friday afternoon along and west of a line from Joes, Colorado to Goodland and Leoti in Kansas. Elevated to Near Critical fire weather conditions are possible Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon for the entire Tri-State area.
