YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado along with Wallace, Logan, Greeley and Wichita counties in Kansas for this afternoon and evening. Surrounding counties may see near critical to locally critical fire weather conditions. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Graham and Norton counties in Kansas on Friday afternoon due to critical fire weather conditions in the forecast. Near critical fire weather conditions are also possible in areas along and south of Interstate 70 on Friday.  Near record to record low temperatures in the lower to middle 20s are forecast for Saturday and Sunday mornings. Those with vegetation interests will want to continue to check back for latest forecast.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected today. Spotters are encouraged to report any wildfires to local law enforcement.
