This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT... No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties in Colorado Sunday afternoon and early evening. Strong west to northwest winds will develop Tuesday afternoon as a low pressure system moves across the area. Moisture increases behind the low supporting chances for rain and snow. The snow is currently confined to areas north of a line from Flagler to Trenton with very light if any accumulation. The combination of strong winds and snowfall will produce some blowing snow and reduced visibilities. For those south of a line from Hill City to Wallace Near Critical fire weather conditions are possible. Precipitation chances decrease quickly Tuesday evening. However, strong and gusty northwest winds will continue. It will be quite cold with record and near record low temperatures in the middle teens to middle 20s currently forecast.
