This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Yuma and Kit Carson counties in Colorado, Dundy, Hitchcock, and Red Willow counties in Nebraska, and Cheyenne, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Sherman, and Thomas counties in Kansas throughout today into tonight. Snowfall accumulation totals in these areas expect to reach up to between 3 and 5 inches with locally higher amounts possible, especially in Colorado. Blowing snow is possible within areas under the advisory along and west of the Colorado border this afternoon. Hazardous traveling conditions due to slick roads and reduced visibilities are anticipated. Reductions in visibility due to snowfall along the Interstate 70 corridor are possible today. If traveling keep up to date with the most current weather conditions. Cheyenne county in Colorado as well as Wallace and Greeley counties in Kansas currently see a threat for blowing dust reducing visibilities to around one mile or less through this evening as an occasional wind gust up to around 55 mph is possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... Elevated fire weather conditions are possible within the Tri-State Area on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Blowing dust may be possible as well on Thursday within the Tri-State Area.
