YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Yuma and Kit Carson counties in Colorado as well as the Tri-State counties along the Kansas/Nebraska border throughout today into tonight. Snowfall accumulation totals in these areas expect to reach up to between 3 and 5 inches with locally higher amounts possible, especially in Colorado. Blowing snow is possible across Yuma and Kit Carson counties during the late morning and into the afternoon with gusts around 35 mph. Hazardous traveling conditions due to slick roads and reduced visibilities are anticipated.  Reductions in visibility are possible along the Interstate 70 corridor are possible. If traveling keep up to date with the most current weather conditions.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Elevated fire weather conditions are possible Thursday afternoon for areas along and south of Highway 40.  Elevated fire weather conditions are possible Saturday and Sunday afternoons for areas along and south of Interstate 70.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. Please report any snowfall totals to the National Weather Service in Goodland.
