YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Snow flurries and snow showers are possible from late this morning through the overnight hours. The primary hazards will be sudden reductions in visibility under any of the showers as well as slick roadways as they quickly move from northwest to southeast. Up to a few tenths of an inch of accumulation are possible. Northwest winds gusting 25 to 35 mph are also expected from late this morning through the overnight hours, primarily along and west of Kansas Highway 25.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  An Arctic airmass will bring the potential for light snow and bitterly cold temperatures Saturday night through Tuesday night. Overnight and early morning wind chill readings between 15 below and 22 below zero are currently forecast.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
