YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY...  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect tonight for Cheyenne county Kansas, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton and Graham counties. Snowfall amounts tonight are expected to range from one half to two inches.  A Winter Storm Warning is in effect tonight for locations south of the Winter Weather Advisory which is generally along and south of Interstate 70. In this area, snowfall amounts tonight are forecast to range from two to six inches. Snowfall rates of an inch per hour and the lowest visibilities are expected late this evening through the overnight hours.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  A Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning continue through the day Saturday. In the Winter Weather Advisory area, additional snowfall accumulations of one to three inches are expected. In the Winter Storm Warning area, additional snowfall amounts of two to five inches are expected.  Another round of snow is anticipated Sunday night through Monday night. Snow accumulations are possible again, so area travelers will want to remain aware of this system as we get through this weekend winter storm.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate snowfall reports via telephone and social media.
