YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT... A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for all but Greeley, Wichita and Gove counties. In the advisory area, additional snowfall accumulations of one to five inches are currently expected with locally higher amounts possible. Some blowing snow and reduced visibilities are possible after midnight as northwest winds gust up to 35 mph. Any locations that received freezing rain or freezing drizzle earlier today will likely have accumulating snow on top of them making for slick and hazardous roadways. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... Light snow with minimal additional accumulation is possible Tuesday morning along and north of the Kansas Nebraska border. Patchy blowing snow and reduced visibilities are possible through the day Tuesday for those who received accumulating snowfall. Wind chill readings in the single numbers above and below zero are expected for the region Wednesday night. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate snowfall reports via telephone and social media.
