This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT... A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect tonight for most of the Tri-State area and lasts until Tuesday morning. For tonight specifically, light snow and ice accumulations are possible which could lead to slick roadways. Adding to the travel hazards, fog has developed in Eastern Colorado and is expected to expand to include areas along and south of I-70. Be alert for rapidly reducing visibilities as low as a quarter of a mile. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... Fog is expected to last through the morning hours with the potential to lower visibilities to around a quarter of a mile. Through the day, snow and freezing rain are expected in the advisory. Any accumulations of snow or ice will make roadways and sidewalks slick. Also, areas with heavier ice accumulations may see power outages or tree damage. Snow is expected Monday night which could reduce visibility and continue to make roadways slick. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not needed at this time. However, any reports of snow/ice accumulations or reduced visibilities would be appreciated!
