This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT... Tonight rain will change to snow from west to east behind a cold front. This may lead to ice forming on highways as temperatures cool below freezing. A band of snow, with snowfall rates of an inch per hour will form over far eastern Colorado early this evening, moving east toward a line extending from McCook to Colby and Sharon Springs through the night. Visibilities within the band are likely to be reduced to one mile or less. Snowfall accumulations of one to four inches are expected with locally higher amounts possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... Light to moderate snowfall will continue Thursday morning, mainly along and west of a line from McCook to Colby and Sharon Springs. Additional snowfall amounts of a few tenths of an inch to two inches are currently expected. The snow will come to an end from southwest to northeast during the afternoon. Another winter weather event may impact the Tri-State area Sunday night through Monday evening.
