YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  Life threatening wind chills as low as 50 below are expected across the entire area by later this evening and into the overnight hours.  A brief period of blizzard to near blizzard conditions will accompany a band of snow moving north to south across the area tonight. Although snow amounts will only be an inch or two, northwest winds gusting up to 55 mph will result in considerable blowing and drifting of any snow that does fall. Reduced visibility in blowing snow may continue well after the snow ends.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Life threatening wind chills of 30 to 50 below will continue through the entire day Thursday and into Friday morning.  Wind chills Friday night and Saturday morning will be as low as 25 below.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be required.
