This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... A very cold airmass will build into the region Wednesday through Friday driving wind chills to dangerously low levels. A prolonged period of wind chills less than negative 25 is expected during this time. This will be a dangerous situation for people without shelter or a way to keep warm. Those with vulnerable outdoor interests such as livestock should prepare for several days of very cold conditions by the middle of the week. As the cold front responsible for the cold weather sweeps across the area Wednesday night, strong northerly winds gusting in excess of 50 mph are possible.
