YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  On Tuesday.. noticeably colder temperatures and breezy north winds will arrive in the wake of a cold frontal passage early Tuesday morning. 25 to 35 mph north winds will gust up to 45 mph throughout the day, temperatures will struggle to exceed the freezing mark, and wind chill readings will remain in the single digits to teens.. even during the afternoon. Additionally, light snow will develop over portions of the area, mainly along and north of Interstate 70 between sunrise Tuesday morning and sunset Tuesday evening. Light accumulating snow.. and reductions in visibility associated with blowing snow.. are possible. While locally hazardous travel conditions can be expected in association with any amount of accumulating snow.. widespread and or significant impacts are presently not anticipated.  Wind chill readings will fall below zero late Tuesday evening.. bottoming out at -5 to -15 degrees Wednesday morning.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
