A cold frontal passage will bring near-critical to locally critical fire weather conditions to a limited portion of the area late Wednesday afternoon, mainly in far northeast Colorado where light and variable winds will abruptly shift to the north and increase to 20 to 30 mph. Caution should be used if burning outdoors, or with any activity that may create sparks. Northerly wind gusts up to 45 mph are anticipated on Thanksgiving Day.
