YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  South southeast winds will strengthen over the region into this afternoon, where gusts may reach 35 to 45 mph. Wind of this magnitude may create difficult travel conditions for high-profile vehicles, especially on west-east routes such as Interstate 70, where cross winds will be strongest.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  A potent storm system will affect much of the Central Plains on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Strong southerly winds and wind- related hazards, such as blowing dust and dangerous fire weather, are the primary concern.
