Elevated to near critical fire weather looks to develop across east Colorado Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon with SW wind gusts up 40 mph possible each day. A potent storm system will affect much of the Central Plains this week, mainly in the Tuesday to Thursday time frame. Strong winds and wind-related hazards, such as blowing dust, are the primary concern. Considerable uncertainty exists with regard to the track, timing, and intensity of this system.
