YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  As a storm system approaches for the first half of the week, expecting a strong south to southwest wind gradient to develop and persist. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph are possible on Monday, peaking around 50 to 55 mph by Wednesday. Besides the potential for some light precipitation late Wednesday into Thursday, the strong winds with the potential for blowing dust to develop are of concern. Please stay tuned for further updates.  With the persistent southerly flow and dry conditions leading up to the frontal passage late Wednesday, elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons for portions of northeast Colorado at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
