Breezy west to southwest winds and low relative humidity will create near critical fire weather conditions over most or all of the Tri-State area this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... As a storm system approaches for the first half of the week, expecting a strong south to southwest wind gradient to develop and persist. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph are possible on Monday, peaking around 50 to 55 mph by Wednesday. Besides the potential for some light precipitation late Wednesday into Thursday, the strong winds with the potential for blowing dust to develop are of concern. Please stay tuned for further updates.
