Repeating, outdoor burning is not advised today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... A cold front will track southeastward during the day on Thursday. Breezy to strong southwest winds are anticipated ahead of the front which may result in some blowing dust mainly along and south of Interstate 70. Winds will weaken as the front approaches, then shift to the north. The strong winds, warm temperatures and drought conditions will lead to some wildfire spread potential, any burning is strongly discouraged. A few strong to severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out late early Thursday evening, mainly east and south of Colby, Kansas. A light wintry mix transitioning to light snow.. portions of the area late Thursday night and Friday morning.
