YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Breezy south winds will foster near critical fire weather conditions across the majority of the Tri-State area this afternoon, particularly east of the Colorado border. Outdoor burning is not advised.  Showers and storms are again expected west of the Colorado border during the late afternoon and evening hours. Gusty winds and lightning will be the primary hazards with the stronger storms.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  Elevated fire weather conditions are expected east of Kansas Highway 83 on Monday afternoon.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected to be needed. Spotters are encouraged to report any fires to local dispatch.
