Winds of this magnitude may create difficult travel conditions for high-profile vehicles, especially on east-west highways such as Interstate 70, where cross winds will be strongest. Additionally, the gusty winds will produce a few instances of blowing dust, especially near open fields along and east of the Colorado Kansas border. There is a Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon through early evening for those areas along/east of a line from McCook, Nebraska down to Gove, Kansas.
