YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Southerly winds will strengthen during the day on Wednesday. Sustained winds ranging from 25 to 35 mph and gusts up to 40 to 50 mph are expected. Wind of this magnitude may create difficult travel conditions for high-profile vehicles, especially on east-west highways such as Interstate 70, where cross winds will be strongest.  There will be chances for thunderstorms Wednesday into Friday affecting much of the region.  Fire danger will increase again across the area towards the beginning of the week as warm, dry and breezy conditions are expected.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected tonight.
