Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are expected from this afternoon into the early evening as a result of relative humidity values between 10 and 15 percent along with southeast winds between 10 and 20 mph. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for a portion of the Central High Plains region from the late morning through early evening hours on Thursday. A combination of relative humidity values below 15 percent, south winds gusting as high as 30 mph, and fuels that are available to burn across the northeast Colorado, southwest Nebraska, and northwest Kansas border areas will produce a good chance of meeting critical fire weather thresholds.
