YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY...  Scattered thunderstorms will move across the area this afternoon and evening. The main hazards will damaging wind gusts to 70 mph along with blowing dust, though a few storms may produce hail up to quarter size as well. Storms will diminish later this evening, with no severe storms expected after midnight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Isolated thunderstorms are possible both Thursday and Friday in the afternoon and evening hours. At this time, severe storms are not expected, though brief gusty winds will be possible near any thunderstorm that develops.  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible Thursday and Friday afternoons, mainly along and west of the Colorado border, due to relative humidity as low as 15 percent.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be required.
