A Flood Watch for potential flash flooding is in effect for Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado for this afternoon into the evening hours. A few showers and weak thunderstorms will be ongoing across northeast Colorado into southwest Nebraska this afternoon with additional stronger storms expected to develop across eastern Colorado into western Kansas through the afternoon and evening hours. Damaging wind gusts are the main threat along with a few landspout tornadoes possible in the vicinity of a stalled frontal boundary that extends from Lamar, Colorado to Quinter and Phillipsburg, Kansas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... Scattered thunderstorms are possible during the late afternoon and evening hours on Monday with low confidence in thunderstorm location and coverage.
