Temperatures will continue to be much above normal with highs today in the upper 90s to lower 100s. Be sure to take breaks if working outside and check on the elderly and pets during the warmest portion of the afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... Much above normal temperatures can be expected across the entire region through Monday. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s to lower 100s each day. Be sure to continuously check on pets and livestock as this extended period of hot weather will create additional stress on animals that are left outdoors. In addition, elevated fire weather conditions will develop each afternoon due to low humidity and gusty south winds, though fuels will be lacking for more critical conditions.
