WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Strong, gusty winds will continue in and near the Front Range Foothills today, and then retreat back into the higher mountains tonight. Peak gusts of 50-60 mph can be expected in wind prone areas.  Light snow is expected in the northern mountains today and tonight with a few inches possible, mainly falling on the northwest facing slopes. Mountain roads may be slick in spots, mainly over the mountain passes.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday  The mountains will see periods of snow from Tuesday night through the rest of the week. Light to moderate snow amounts can be expected. There is more uncertainty with regards to whether precipitation will fall across the plains but some light precipitation is possible. Otherwise, it will be a mild week with the snow melting across the plains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
