WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...WINTER STORM WATCH NORTHERN MOUNTAINS MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Strong winds will develop over the mountain ridges and east slopes of the Front Range by this afternoon and tonight. Gusts in the 40 to 60 mph range can be expected with even a few higher gusts around 70 mph in wind prone foothills areas overnight tonight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday  Strong winds will continue in the mountains Monday, especially above timberline and for wind prone foothill locations. Late Monday and into Tuesday, a storm will bring moderate to locally heavy snow to the mountains, with totals of 6 to 12 inches possible. Across the lower elevations, 1 to 4 inches will possible with locally higher amounts. In addition, it will be much colder Tuesday into Wednesday. A chance of snow will persist in the mountains the rest of the week, with drier and warmer weather expected across the plains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
