This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight High winds are expected over the ridges and east slopes of the Front Range today. Gusts of 50-75 mph will be common in wind prone locations. Areas of blowing snow may add to travel difficulties. In the mountain valleys and on the plains, gusts of 30 to 50 mph can be expected with the stronger gusts in areas just east of the foothills and near the Wyoming border. Areas of light snow will persist in the mountains today with some light accumulation. The snow will increase tonight, with light accumulations along I-70 and more substantial snow and blowing snow on Rabbit Ears and Cameron Passes. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Snow will continue into Sunday morning across the northern mountains and then slowly decrease through the afternoon. Total snowfall of 5 to 10 inches will be possible. Monday and Tuesday will be warmer and drier. Over the eastern plains, where gusty south wind will prevail, fire weather conditions will be elevated. The next storm system will track across Central Rockies in the middle of next week.
