WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 A Winter Weather Advisory for snow will be in effect from 6 PM this evening to noon Thursday for the north-central mountains of Colorado.  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Light snow is expected across the central mountains of Colorado this morning with up to 2 inches of accumulation. There will be a break in the snow this afternoon before moderate to briefly heavy snowfall arrives in the mountains tonight. Snowfall rates in excess of one inch per hour are possible in the north-central mountains. Travel may become hazardous under the heaviest bands of snow tonight. Across the I-25 corridor, scattered rain showers this evening will switch over to snow after 3am. A trace to one inch of snow is possible with measurable snow more likely closer to the foothills.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  Light to moderate snow will fall over the high country with the larger of the amounts for the higher mountains. There may be minor impacts to travel early Thursday. Light accumulations are possible for the foothills as well. Scattered showers are expected over the lower elevations, potentially mixing with/changing to over to snow early Thursday morning with little or no accumulation.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
