WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight  Record breaking heat and dry conditions will continue today. Isolated storms and high based showers will produce mainly wind gusts up to 30-40 mph but isolated rogue gusts of 50-60 mph will be possible. With parts of the urban corridor and plains reaching 99 to 100s, a Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 PM this evening. Additionally, critical fire weather conditions are possible this afternoon where a Red Flag Warning is in effect until 8 PM covering all the areas east of I-25.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Much cooler weather will arrive Friday and Saturday, along with a chance of showers and storms over the higher terrain and light drizzle across the metro and areas east. A few snowflakes will be possible in the mountains, mainly above timberline. Most precipitation amounts will be light.  Drier weather can be expected Sunday, but the chance of showers and storms will return early next week with the highest chance in the mountains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
