WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Expect increasing coverage of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, especially in the mountains and higher terrain areas over the Palmer Divide. With the stronger storms, expect brief heavy rain and gusty winds up to 50 mph. There is a limited threat of burn area flash flooding across the northern mountains.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and early evening hours on both Saturday and Sunday. The best chance of rain will be across the high country along and south of I-70. There is a small threat of mountain burn scar flooding those two days. From Monday onward, of next week, a warmer and drier period of weather is expected.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
