WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Scattered to likely showers and thunderstorms will track north- northeastward across the mountains and foothills today. Scattered storms are expected across the western half of the plains, including  the Urban Corridor. Brief heavy rain and wind gusts to 45 mph will be possible with the stronger storms. This could lead to flooding for the burn areas. Across the eastern plains, drier conditions will prevail. This combined with gusty south winds to 40 mph will help elevate the fire danger.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Above normal temperatures continue through Monday across the region with highs slightly cooler compared to last week. Scattered thunderstorms are possible Sunday mainly for the high country; this weather pattern will bring a limited to elevated threat of flash flooding to the burn areas. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms Monday with lower coverage. Storms become more isolated Tuesday through Wednesday. Return to drier conditions and above normal temperatures possible across the region Thursday through late next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
