WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...Winter Weather Advisory for the North Central Mountains from 3 pm this afternoon through Wednesday morning...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Rain and mountain snow will develop through this afternoon in and near the Front Range. Rain will then spread across the plains this evening and overnight.  The snow level will start out around 9000 feet, and then lower to around 8000 feet overnight tonight. Several inches of snow accumulation can be expected above approximately 8500 feet. Mountain roads, including I-70 from around Georgetown to the Eisenhower Tunnel and higher elevations along the Peak to Peak Highway, will likely become snow covered and slick with hazardous travel.  There is a limited threat of flash flooding in the lower elevations of the Cameron Peak burn area and the Calwood burn area. Peak rainfall rates around one quarter inch per hour will be possible late this afternoon into the evening, and total accumulated precipitation of 0.75 to 1.5 inches may lead to runoff and elevated stream levels in and near those burn areas.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday  The showers will decrease from west to east during the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will be cooler. A warming trend will begin Thursday and continue into next weekend. There will be isolated to scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms returning to the forecast by Friday and continuing through the weekend.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed, but any reports of mountain snow or heavier precipitation in or near a burn area will be appreciated.
