WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM THIS EVENING FOR SOUTH PARK, THE SOUTHERN FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS, PALMER DIVIDE, AND MOST OF THE NORTHEAST PLAINS OF COLORADO...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Record to near record temperatures, gusty winds to 30 to 45 mph, and very low humidity will bring critical fire weather conditions. Avoid any outdoor burning or activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. The strongest winds and most critical conditions can be expected from Park County across Jefferson and Douglas Counties.  This evening, an isolated severe thunderstorm will be possible on the northeast plains, mainly in Phillips and Sedgwick Counties. Primary hazards would be large hail and damaging winds.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Fire danger will be at or near critical levels again on Sunday from Park County eastward across the Palmer Divide. Farther north and east temperatures will be a little cooler with somewhat lighter winds and a slight improvement in humidity. Expect scattered showers and a few thunderstorms late Sunday into early Monday over the mountains and far northern plains.  Warmer than normal temperatures will persist into next week, with elevated to critical fire weather conditions persisting especially in areas that have not experienced sufficient spring green-up.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
