This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight A system will continue to bring moderate to heavy snow to the northern mountains and higher foothills today and tonight. Additional snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches will fall above 9000 ft in the northern mountains. Lighter snow is falling above 7000 ft while scattered light rain showers are falling over the urban corridor. Highs will be on the cooler side with upper 40s to lower 50s on the plains and 30s to 40s in the mountains. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday A warmer and drier trend will begin Thursday and continue through Saturday. Windy conditions will be possible at times this weekend and into early next week, possibly leading to an increase in fire weather conditions. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However, any reports of accumulating snow from the mountains and foothills will be appreciated.
