This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Critical fire weather conditions will occur through this evening across the mountains and high valleys. Winds will gust to 25-35 mph and humidity readings will drop to 7-11 percent. That means any new or existing wildfires will be capable of rapid spread. Be ready to take action should a wildfire start nearby. It will be hot in the lower elevations, with most of the plains and I-25 Corridor reaching the mid to upper 90s today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Critical fire weather conditions will likely remain in place through Friday, with a continuation of hot, dry and breezy weather. High temperatures will reach 95 to 100 degrees on the plains and I-25 Corridor each day. Those sensitive to heat should remain in air conditioning if possible, seek shade when outdoors, and avoid strenuous activity during the daylight hours.
