This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight A reinforcing shot of arctic air will move in tonight pushing temperatures below zero again. Wind chill values on the plains may reach as low as 30 degrees below zero, creating danger for people, livestock, and pets spending time outside. In addition to the bitterly cold conditions, a round of light snow is expected tonight and into Monday morning, with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches over and near the mountains, and an inch or less on the plains. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Light snow will linger on Monday with maybe another half of inch of accumulation in the afternoon. The arctic airmass will continue over the forecast area through Monday night with temperatures way below seasonal normals. Low temperatures overnight Monday could drop into the 25 to 40 below zero range in the high mountains and valleys. Wind chill readings could drop to 25 below zero on the plains and 50 below zero in the mountains causing frostbite danger. Temperatures look to stay below normal through the week, with another good chance of light snow in the mountains Wednesday afternoon and evening making for hazardous travel. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
