WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  It will be very cold this morning with temperatures below zero at sunrise. The mountain valleys will be the coldest with temperatures as cold as 30 below zero. Temperatures slowly rise into the single digits and teens for the afternoon.  A  reinforcing shot of arctic air moves in tonight pushing temperatures below zero again. Wind chill values on the plains may reach as low as 30 degrees below zero, creating danger for people, livestock, and pets spending time outside. In addition to the bitterly cold conditions, a round of light snow is expected tonight and into Monday morning.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday  Very cold temperatures are expected to continue Monday and Monday night with highs in the single digits across much of the forecast area with some below zero readings over the higher mountains. Monday nights readings are expected to drop below zero on the plains with the potential for temperatures plunging as low as 25 to 40 degrees below zero across the higher mountains and mountain valleys Monday night. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero on the plains and as low as 45 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
