WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...VERY COLD THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Snow will continue today with another 1-4" of accumulation in and near the foothills. The snow will mainly stay to the west of I-25 and minimal additional accumulations will fall on the eastern plains.  Bitter cold temperatures are expected with highs staying in the mid teens across the I-25 corridor. Lows tonight will drop below zero and the Denver metro could see some areas reach negative 10 F. Wind chill values could reach negative 20 F which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Cold conditions will continue Sunday with temperatures below zero to begin the day. Temperatures slowly rise into the single digits and teens for the afternoon.  A reinforcing shot of arctic air moves in Sunday night and Monday keeping temperatures in the single digits above and below zero. Wind chill values on the plains may reach as low as 30 degrees below zero creating danger for people, livestock, and pets spending time outside. In addition to the bitterly cold conditions, a round of light snow is expected Sunday night and Monday morning.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
