...WINTER STORM WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES FOR THE MOUNTAINS... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Another round of snow will start in the mountains this afternoon. Initially, the snow will be light, but then increase in intensity around midnight tonight. Snow will then be heavy at times, especially in the northern Gore and Park Ranges. Considerable blowing snow will occur over the higher mountain passes and above timberline, creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions. A couple bands of snow will likely spread onto the northern plains later tonight, with light accumulations but slick roads possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Moderate to heavy snow will continue in the mountains through Thursday morning before tapering off in the afternoon. Significant travel impacts are expected in the Gore and Park Ranges. A system will bring moderate accumulating snow to the mountains this weekend. Light snow is expected across the plains that is generally below 2 inches of accumulation. Another system will bring widespread light snow to our forecast area on Tuesday. Temperatures Tuesday night and through the end of next week may be well below normal. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
