WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Snow will develop over the higher terrain late this afternoon and will continue through Monday morning. 5-10" of snow is forecast across the Park Range and Front Range mountains with the potential for localized higher amounts. 3-8" of snow is forecast for the foothills. Rain will develop over the I-25 corridor this evening and will transition to snow around midnight. A half inch to 3" is forecast across the Denver metro with the southwest suburbs seeing the most snow. Expect poor to hazardous travel conditions, especially during the Monday morning commute, as roads could be snow-covered and icy.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday  Monday night through Saturday will be active with multiple systems bringing snow and cold air. A cold front will slide south into northern Colorado overnight Tuesday into Wednesday ahead of another approaching low pressure system. Impacts are expected once again, for the Wednesday morning commute, as this system will bring moderate to heavy snow to the higher terrain, and light snow showers to our highly traveled urban corridor through the morning. There is more uncertainty with regards to snow across the plains but the possibility remains for heavy snow to fall during this period. The most likely outcome is a widespread light snow event with about a 20 percent chance that it turns into a snowstorm with heavy snow and major impacts. If the bigger snowstorm verifies, snow would occur on Friday and Saturday as well.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
