This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Winds will gust up to 40 mph over the eastern plains this afternoon. Low humidities plus the wind will create elevated fire danger. Scattered showers will develop over the mountains this afternoon and move east across the plains in the late afternoon and evening. The showers will produce light rainfall and wind gusts up to 40 mph. Scattered showers will continue in the mountains overnight, with the snow level lowering to between 9 and 10 thousand feet. Any accumulation overnight will be less than 2 inches. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday A storm system will bring snow to the mountains Friday through Sunday night with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms on the plains. There could be travel impacts over the highest mountain passes Friday night and Saturday. By Sunday, temperatures will warm somewhat, even in the mountains, so significant snow accumulations are not expected.
