A Red Flag Warning is in effect 10 AM to 6 PM for parts of the eastern plains thus avoid any outdoor activity that could lead to a spark. Scattered showers are possible for higher elevations and any rainfall is expected to be light. Gusty outflow winds to 40 mph will be possible near the showers. This evening, an isolated shower or two could enter the urban corridor producing little rainfall and wind gusts up to 40 mph. Tonight, light snow begins for areas above 10 thousand feet. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday A low pressure system is expected to move through the area this weekend. This storm system will bring mountain snow Friday through the weekend and rain showers with isolated thunder on the plains. Travel might be impacted across the highest mountain passes on Saturday.
