Elevated fire weather conditions are expected over the rest of the western half of the plains. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon in the mountains and higher foothills. The storms could produce outflow winds to 40 mph and light rain showers. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible over the mountains and foothills on Tuesday. The main threat will be localized gusty winds. There will be elevated fire weather conditions again over the plains, but winds will not be as strong as today.
