WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. The thunderstorms main threat will be gusty outflow winds. Wind speeds of up to 60 mph are possible with the strongest thunderstorms. There is only a limited chance of flash flooding over the recent burned areas.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Another round of scattered afternoon and nighttime thunderstorms can be expected Sunday and Sunday night. The stronger storms will have potential to produce brief heavy rain and frequent lightning, while almost all will produce gusty outflow winds and in some cases gusts to around 50 mph. There will be just a limited threat of flash flooding at most on the burn scars, as storms will be moving faster.  Elevated fire weather conditions may develop across the foothills and adjacent plains Sunday due to breezy conditions.  Drier weather is then expected to develop toward Tuesday and hold through midweek, with only isolated and weaker storms.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
