WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the mountains today, and will gradually spread into the I-25 corridor and plains this afternoon and evening. These storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flooding issues across the burn areas, and in locations that have recently received heavy rain. A few strong to severe storms are also possible, mainly east of I-25 this evening. Stronger storms could produce gusty winds and large hail.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Friday through Sunday there will be moderate coverage of storms across the higher terrain and low coverage of storms across the lower terrain. The primary threat these storms will pose is strong wind gusts potentially above 50 mph. There is a limited threat of flash flooding on the recent burn areas each day. Elevated fire weather conditions may develop across the foothills and plains on Saturday due to warm, dry, and windy conditions.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight, but reports of heavy rain, hail, and strong winds will be appreciated.
