WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and continue through the evening hours. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds are possible across the high country and I-25 corridor with these storms. A few strong to severe storms with large hail and damaging wind gusts will be possible, mainly along and east of a Sterling to Limon line.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  Scattered storms will develop on Thursday with areas in the southern half of our forecast area seeing the best chance for rain. The primary concern from these storms will be heavy rainfall which could produce flash flooding in the recent burn areas and especially in Elbert, Lincoln, and Washington Counties as those counties have recently received heavy rainfall. Storms on Thursday may also reach severe limits along and east of the Palmer Divide with damaging wind gusts being the primary concern. The coverage and intensity of storms will slowly decrease Friday through the weekend. Friday's storms could still pose a flash flood threat to the recent burn areas.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight, but reports of heavy rain, hail, and strong winds will be appreciated.
