WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Elevated fire conditions will continue over portions of the higher terrain today.  A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible late this afternoon and evening, mainly over the higher terrain south of I-70 and across the Palmer Divide. Areas of smoke will also linger across the areas as well with hazy skies.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Hot temperatures and smoky skies are expected to continue through Friday. Isolated to scattered afternoon and evening storms will be possible with gusty winds being the main threat. However, a couple of the storms across the far northeastern plains could produce brief moderate to heavy rain and small hail. Mostly dry conditions are expected on Saturday with increased precipitation chances across all of the forecast area by early next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
