Hefty accumulations are expected, especially for the Park Range. Snow bands may develop over the plains causing heavy localized snowfall rates. This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Critical fire weather conditions expected for southern Lincoln County this afternoon. A Red Flag Warning will be in effect until 6 PM this evening. Other areas of the plains will experience dry conditions with elevated conditions possible in areas this afternoon due to wind gusts up to 35 mph. Gusts up to 40-50 mph are possible in the higher mountains this morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday Accumulating snow and breezy to windy conditions are expected over the high country from late Saturday through Monday morning. These conditons will result in difficult travel, especially over mountain passes. Whiteout conditions are possible, especially in high wind prone areas.
